"Yokko's performance is hauntingly striking. It deserves to be experienced." (-Fest, Edinburgh, UK)
"This play effected me like a chemical reaction. I could feel it in my blood. My senses were sharper, my adrenaline levels were higher and I left feeling primal and raw. Butoh Medea is visually superb; Yokko has created something that is so seldom seen, making this an unmissable show. It is not an easy watch, nor should it be; this is theatre unleashed and it’s a strange pleasure to be sat in front of it."
"Go and be amazed." (-The Absent Reviews, Edinburgh, UK)
"Yokko's transformation into Medea is breath-taking: profound, tormented, physical, truly esoteric and poetic. " (-Female-Arts, Edinburgh, UK)
"Modesty gives way to feral rage in a breathtaking transformation – one that is physically and mentally draining for both performer and audience."
"Yokko strikes that near-perfect balance between the popular and the niche. It’s a revelatory performance in an astonishing piece of physical theatre." (-A Differing View, Edinburgh, UK)

"Butoh Medea” - sweat, blood and tears (Warsaw, Poland)
"The half of this monodrama consists of scenes in Butoh technique. FASCINATING! Trans, very loud music, brilliant lights (again mainly spotlights but in combination with a bit lighter background) and the actress who continues to uncover her body during a – and it's not quite clear how to name it – dance/ trans movements/ mystical rituals. These sequences are marvelous. They prove how right the organizers were in deciding to show this solo-show in Warsaw. " "Concealed under the nickname Yokko artist was given a long lasting applause, and it needs to be emphasized – she fully deserved them."
